Your membership provides vital financial support to our grassroots nonprofit. It also comes with cool benefits.

Nonprofits like Sustainability Matters have the same needs as a business: staff, technology, and supplies. The difference is that we don’t have a “product” to sell on the open market. Our “customers” are birds, bees, trees...and the planet. They can’t afford to pay for our help, which is why we need your support.

Want to help, but not quite ready for membership? Make a one-time donation. Sustainability Matters is a 501(c)(3) charity (EIN: 84-2664760), and your donations are tax deductible.

Linda at a plant swap

I support Sustainability Matters because I can see my money at work in projects such as Making Trash Bloom, the pollinator habitat at the county landfill. Our grassroots nonprofit is making a major difference already.

Don in front of persimmon tree

Two years ago, we approached Sustainability Matters for advice on planting a native pollinator meadow on our septic field. Sustainability Matters helped us plan this and other conservation projects, and even access funding. Our septic field’s now blooming merrily, and I’m such a Sustainability Matters fan that I joined the Board of Directors.

Susie and friends in Halloween costumes

After attending an event that delightfully combined local wine and potato chip pairings with meeting miniature sheep who weed the vineyard, I thought, “Sustainability with a sense of humor? - I have found my people!” I was right. As well as a member, I’m now a Sustainability Matters volunteer!
